I think Daisy looks like these old collie picture.

Daisy is a beautiful example of an old type collie.

It is hard to believe that Daisy is 7 years old.  She is the Alpha female on the farm making sure the younger pups learn their place and what to do.  She guards our fence line from cows leaning on them, makes her rounds making sure no varmints are around.  She loves playing frisbee, or any kind of fetch.  She doesn't mind going for a "drive"  Inside she is still a lady, enjoying her special time with me. She is also the "talker" of the pack. In picking her as a puppy from my own breeding of Heather X Clancy, she was the middle pup.  Just the right amount of herding, hunting and biddable.  She is a perfect, beautiful temperament/ character.  Over the last 4 years she produced beautiful puppies that also inherited her wonderful personality.  In loving the pups out of Daisy X Oscar, we decided we had to keep some.  4JAcres Sojourner Aiwyn is owned by our son and we plan to use him as a stud dog.

4JAcres Sojourner Windsor is staying with us and might also be used as a stud.

It is time to retire Daisy and let her live out the rest of her life here on the farm. Daisy is a gift from God.  I had so longed for a true old looking "Lassie" dog. I was definitely blessed to get one!  April 2021

After losing my dear Sandy, I was so sad. To me Sandy was the perfect collie.  Sweet, biddable, by my side, but not underfoot.  One that would listen and obey.  Not dominante, but not afraid.  Could adjust to any situation. Strong, agile, fast.  Gentle with chickens, tough with the cows. One that would really look into my eyes and communicate.  Great outside and inside.  I really miss her and she left a big whole in my heart.   But Daisy is slowly taking that spot and filling it up.  Her character and demenor is so much like Sandy.  In a way I feel like I have a part of Sandy back.

I am  impressed with Daisy.  She has a very sweet temperament and very intelligent.  At a year she was already overseeing the chickens. She has caught on to the routine and when I head outside in the evening to do the evening chores, she is there ready to help.  When doing the chickens, she beats me to the chicken tractor and waits for me.  If I am getting clean water or more food for them, she will follow me to the barn and watch me get the water or food.  As soon as I head out the barn door, she runs over to the chicken tractor I am working on and waits there for me.  Then when I am done with that chicken tractor, she will run over to the other chicken tractor and repeat the process.  She  loves to round the chickens up and keep them together.  I am in the process of teaching her to keep the chickens off of my back porch and she is doing a good job of getting the process down.  Like Clancy, she likes to keep the cows off of our back fence.  She loves hugs and kisses and enjoys being inside when she can.
