Gabby - Sandy line is being preserved through:
4J Acres Laddie and 4J Acres Lady Rose Sojourner from the 4/25/16 litter.
Sandy is a pup from our first litter. As a pup she would come and crawl in my lap every time I was out with the pups. We decided to keep her because she had picked us. We all love her so much. She is very protective of our 4 boys and keeps an eye out for them all the time. She is gentle, loving and fun. In the house she is quite the “lady” and a good house dog, knowing her place. Her passion on the farm is that everything has a place and needs to stay in that place. She is a wonderful herder. She loves to gather the chickens, put a stray cow away, and keep the goats in their field. Like her mother she shows no fear when we have a stubborn animal to pen up or put in the trailer. I was very proud of her this past winter. Our boys went duck hunting and shot two ducks into our pond. We were trying to figure out how to get the ducks. We had the dogs with us and Sandy was the first to realize what we were trying to do. She whined and ran back and forth. I kept telling her to fetch, pointing at the duck. She went in after the duck and tried to get it, but the duck was still alive and ducked under the water. She lost it and came back to me. She wouldn’t go back out, but I was very impressed that she had caught on to what we wanted and that she tried. She stayed behind me worrying and whining about the duck. We never trained the dogs to retrieve from the water. I know she tried and wanted to please. By the way.. yes, we did get the ducks and had duck gumbo.

Sandy still loves to work with the chickens and help with cows. If we find her under a tree barking like crazy she has probably treed a squirrel. She loves being inside with us and has the sweetest temperament. Sandy enjoys jumping in the back seat of the car to go for a ride.
2012
At 8 Sandy is still going strong. Still second in command, she helps teach the younger dogs. She still enjoys helping around the farm and loves to be with us. Her big brown eye always looking and begging for approval and love. She is a joy to be with. I would love to have one more litter out of her if at all possible. She is a wonderful all around Scotch Collie.
Fall 2013
It has taken me a year, but it is time… April 2014 I lost my dear Sandy to complications of a litter. She was so sweet, smart, stable and strong. I am thankful for the pups we had out of her… all turned out wonderful and nothing but praise from their owners. Her line is being preserved through 4JAcres Laddie at Six Pense Farm.
August 2015
After 2 years of waiting and planning, I am finally getting my Gabby/Sandy line back. This past February we went up to Illinois to breed Daisy to Laddie. I will be keeping one of these little females!!! The Gabby/ Sandy pups were always the best. After 4 years, I still hear from people that have one of Sandy's pups. They say they are the smartest, sweetet dogs ever.
